Attention: Spoiler alert And if you are a die-hard Twilight fan, don't get mad at me I'm just stating my opinions *cough*
Last thursday, I finally finished Breaking Dawn, the 4th book of the Twilight series.... And you know what??? I don't understand why it is a best-seller... Here is why:
1. I think this one didn't leave me during the time I read the series... It says 'Hypnotic and dreamy prose' at the back of the covers.... HEH-LOH!!!???? Which part of the book is hypnotic and dreamy?? Sorry, but the woman's descriptions are too weak, and she uses the same words again and again!!! The characters do nothing but 'mutter', 'wince', 'cringe', 'roll their eyes' and 'grimace'.... Even at translation exam, I don't use the same word twice (and the exam is in spanish!)!!!! And she is graduated from literature department too!! She really should get a Thesaurus dictionary or she should read more...
2. The story is nothing special... Yeah, I know some people go like 'Omg!! It's a vampire novel!! Me loves vampires.....' etc... OK, I confess this isn't the lamest vampire novel ever (While the Vampire Kisses series exist, it can't be..
What kind of a lame author would name her book as 'Kissing Coffins'
).. But in the first 3 book, the story is nothing but other vampires' stalking Bella... If there weren't the werewolfes (Sorry, the shape-shifters), the third book would definitely suck... Yeah, I love vampires too... But not Stephenie Meyer's... At first, the story seems very appealing but like I said after the 3rd book, you start getting tired of Bella and Edward's love... OK, I love Alice and Edward.. But with the 3rd book his relationship with Bella gets too tedious.. Hey, I get the point that you love her more than anything in this world, but there is no need to tell us this in each page... We're getting tired of the same ol' song!!!! At least, I am...
3. The ending is extremely disappointing... It's pretty obvious that Meyer's deadline was aproaching so she had to make up that crappy ending... But come to think of it, did she have the talent to create a story with mind-blowing ending all along?? After Alice and Jasper ran away, I expected that something big would happen in the end... Moreover Alice gave Bella this guy's adress and stuff... And I thought that this J person was some kind of powerful vampire that would bring the Volturi down... The USA Times says 'Move Over, Harry Potter' !!!! How dare they say such a thing?? Harry Potter books were like a pieces of a puzzle and at the end of the book JK Rowling didn't leave us with a temporary taste in our mouths... In Breaking Dawn there are many unanswered questions and the book itself doesn't really satisfy me.... Some best-seller...
But of course there were good points in the book too.... Since we don't have many gentlemen around us (to be honest, we have none), we really love Edward... Especially the part in which he proposed to Bella, I was like 'o.O Will someone say those words to me one day????????'... I think most of us think ourselves as Bella while reading the book
Who wouldn't want a boyfriend/husband like Edward?? Haha
And Rob Pattinson is a cutie
But I must admit, in the book I love Jacob a bit more... He is definitely my type: arrogant, brash, nerve-wracking guy who is also funny
And he has one more quality too: He loved Bella unconditionally... That little slut doesn't deserve those guys... And why, once she was turned into a vampire -or let me say she was done with Jacob-, she started being really really rude towards him... She even attacked him o.O That ungrateful bitch!!! I think Aro should have killed her the first time he glimpsed at her...
So the conclusion(Sorry, I'm getting bored, I will write no more): The book worths reading but in the summer, when you are deadly bored and no one is in town... So don't read it when you have exams or other stuff to do... And Stephenie should go to college once again...
Love you guys Edward and Jacob Black (aka YAKUP KARA!!!
