The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

I cursed Jerry Cantrell when they took a new singer in after Layne.. But I was wrong.. Of course nothing can really replace Layne but this album is so cool.. Prejudice is a bad thing!! Listen to this album!! About Ensiferum, yeah this was good but my favorite Ensiferum album is still Victory Songs I guess, or maybe Ensiferum

The 69 Eyes - Back in Blood

............... This album is a DISGRACE!!!! You guys know how much I love them but this album???????? It's worse than Angels... And the problem is not just the album.... It's Jyrki himself.. OK, on Metal Hammer's September 2009 issue (With Dave Mustaine el genio on the cover

) they make this interview with Jyrki (No, it is NOT interview with the vampire!!).. He talks all these gibberish and he says he gets dressed like this 'to bed a hot gothic girl' (You get the idea about what he talks)

And he calls viking bands 'role-playing game bands'..... HEH-LOH!! At least they make good music!!!! And when it comes to playing instruments they can kick their arse too (I know they are different genres, but...)!!You know I even love the 69 Eyes's Savage Garden and Bump n Grind and all but this album sucks big time! I was gonna talk more about this but even a thought of it makes me angry... This album is a h-u-u-u-uge disappointment for me.. Whatever...

Like I said above, if I remember something I've missed, I'll edit this sntry.. But that's the gist of it

hiçbirini dinlememişim maalesef.

2009'da çıkmış 2 albüm dinledim sadece: Akiko Shikata - "Harmonia" ve Magma - "Ëmëhntëhtt-Ré". ikisi de muhteşem albümler. yüz albüm daha dinlesem bile bu ikisi ilk 5'te yer bulur kendilerine. Magma her zevke hitap etmez pek, ama Akiko'nun son albümü kesinlikle sevilmeyecek gibi değil.

bi de Van der Graaf Generator - "Live at the Paradiso" var ama o live albüm, ve harika bi konser olmamış maalesef. saksofonsuz VdGG o kadar tat vermiyor.

he, bi de İlhan İrem - "Tozpembe - progressive çocuk şarkıları" var. ismiyle müsemma bir albüm. Çocuk şarkıları için progressive bi hareket ve çok isabetli; ama neticede çocuk şarkıları

onun haricinde, bakalım, 2009'da çıkmış ve bana kadar gelmiş ama hâlâ dinlemediğim neler var:

Diablo Swing Orchestra - "Sing Along Songs for the Damned & Delirious": harika bi albüm olduğundan kuşkum yok. iki şarkısını dinledim, çok iyiydi. gerisini de yarın öbür gün dinlerim. seviyorum bu tipleri. ilk albümleri muhteşemdi; tavsiye ederim ve seveceğinden eminim.

Eloy - "Visionary": iyi şeyler duydum hakkında. en kısa zamanda kulak vereceğim. ama 2009'un en iyilerinden olacağından kuşkuluyum

Peter Hammill - "Thin Air": albüme ismini veren şarkı vasattı. fazla umutlu değilim ama neticede Hammill, kötü iş çıkarmaz.

Tangerine Dream - "Flame": progressive electronic nereye kadar gidebilir bilemiyorum. bu da pek umut verici bi albüm değil ama Tencerem Derin'den her zaman sürpriz bekleriz.

Witchbreed - "Heretic Rapture": berbat bi albüm olduğundan kuşkum yok

ama bi ara boş vaktimde kulak vereceğim yine de.
