Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you  finally  made  the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq  to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean  more quality to the paintings, am i right?. 
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only  to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

Well, so here I am with my critiques and stuff... I haven't done this since summer.. But don't worry I'm back and I will do plenty in the future..

Actually I was thinking of submitting such journal after buying Megadeth's Endgame... But, uhmm, financial issues are on my way :paranoid:

Let me start with Jennifer's Body... The movie hit here on Friday and of course I went to see it on the first day... If you ask me the movie doesn't deserve the rating IMDB gave... OK, I agree that the story is nothing too special but it was funny... Especially the words Adam Brody said before he sacrificed Jen was sooooo very true :D :D But I gotta say that.... Megan should take classes... I mean she is beautiful and all but she is kind of bad at acting?? Actually she wasn't bad on Transformers but she was kinda weird in this one.. Whatever... You should see that movie.. Oh, and Megan wasn't that naked in the movie.. I read some articles before seeing the movie and everyone was like 'ZOMG! We see Megan's body in this one, la la la..' .. Meh...

Hah.. I've listened to Paramore's Brand New Eyes... I think it's better than RIOT! but still worse than All We Know Is Falling... And it feels like they have gone kind of indie in this one (like in The Misguided Ghosts)... The best part about this album is you don't have to spend time to love it... You'll love it as soon as you start listening to it :D :D Haha, I am ashamed but I gotta say I love 'All I Wanted' so much !! Shame on me because it's such a teenage emo song :D :D But still it's cute :D I'm sure they have a video for 'Ignorance' so just visit youtube and listen to them !!

The new Bon Jovi single We Weren't Born To Follow is of course amazing and I guess I don't have to tell you to check it out... But it feels like Bon is going with the same themes again and again.... Still I love him and I can't wait till November for the new album 'The Circle' :excited: I am expecting a song like 'You Had Me From Hello' in this album... :aww: :aww: :aww: :aww: :aww: :aww:

Ah, by the way... I finished Irvine Welsh's Crime yesterday.. I won't say anything that'll spoil the book... But it's kinda strange.. It's the 4th Welsh book I've read but I think he could have done better... The first 100-150 pages were so boring although the Edinburg parts made me read the whole book... But I gotta say the ending was perfect.. You know, I almost cried... Some man this Welsh... He knows how to write surely... And Gosh, I almost felt as paranoid as Ray Lennox!! Well, still, boring or no, you should read it.. It's such an interesting book...

Well, that's all for now... By the way in case you haven't noticed I've sent many deviations of mine to scraps... Even the Superman, which was a couple of days old, was cruelly sent to scraps.... But don't you worry :flirty: I've drawn many many stuff I'll submit them soon... By the way if you see some contest that you think I may enter, please inform me...

Yes Megan is pretty bad at acting.

I've found every song from Brand New Eyes available to listen to on youtube, so that's pretty cool. I'll have to listen to all the songs a few more times before I find a favorite, but I do like All I Wanted as well.
